Melanie

Melanie of Dahlia May Flower Farm
A native of the Quinte area and a lover of nature, Melanie brings to her work a background in art and horticulture as well as a passion for growing beautiful flowers. Since 2014, Melanie has been farming Dahlia May Flower Farm, the very land her parents cultivated. She completed studies in horticulture and floral design at Loyalist College, and has taken a course in flower farming and design at Floret Flower Farm, one of North America's leading operations of this kind. Melanie specializes in growing romantic and fragrant, often heirloom, varieties of flowers. Nestled in the beautiful rolling Murray Hills of southeastern Ontario, Dahlia May supplies fresh seasonal cut flowers at her farm stand located on the farm and distinctive bouquets to farmers' markets in the Quinte area. She also offers both rustic and elegant floral design services, inspired by nature and changing with the seasons.

Kristina

Kristina Steunenberg of Minim Designs
Kristina has been working in the floral industry for 3+ years and started her passion project and business, Minim Designs, just under a year ago. Based out of Belleville, Minim Designs specializes in nature-inspired and intentionally-made florals for weddings, events, workshops and photoshoots.

Kristina also works as a teacher part time and loves to combine her two passions by leading creative floral workshops. She's had the pleasure of learning from and working alongside florists such as Johanna of Celsia Floral, Alison of Coriander Girl, Lisa of Sweet Woodruff, and Ashley of Tinge Floral. These florists have influenced her greatly on her path in finding her own floral style. She would describe her floral style to be loose, simple, romantic and intentional.
