Sunday, June 16th from 2pm - 4pm

Where: Dahlia May Flower Farm located at 1226 Stockdale Rd, Trenton, Ontario, Canada

There's no question that June is one of the most glorious times of year for local flowers in Ontario, so what better place to spend your afternoon than a local flower farm? Learn all about planting, growing, and cutting these blooms before jumping into colour theory, recipe planning, and finally designing a low, lush, garden-inspired tabletop centrepiece free of floral foam. From peonies to ranunculus to anemone, we will be working with all the greatest hits at this fun and educational workshop.

We are offering TWO experiences for these beautiful spring workshops!

On Saturday June 15th Brittany Deck of BKH Photography will be photographing our workshops, and participants will have beautiful photos of their arrangements as well as portraits of themselves to make this experience memorable.

On Sunday June 16th our workshops will be relaxed and casual. No photography will be offered and participants will enjoy an intimate day on the farm.

The best blooms:
Our guests will enjoy working with the best that June has to offer in the garden. Peonies and Ranunculus will be abundant, sweet peas will be available and flowering branches will be utilized. There will be a wide variety of blooms to chose from. These flowers are 100% Ontario grown, from Dahlia May Flower Farm and the farms of other local growers.

Price:
Saturday June 15th (with photography by BKH Photography) is $250.00 per person.
Sunday June 16th without photography is $175.00 per person.

Melanie

Melanie of Dahlia May Flower Farm
A native of the Quinte area and a lover of nature, Melanie brings to her work a background in art and horticulture as well as a passion for growing beautiful flowers. Since 2014, Melanie has been farming Dahlia May Flower Farm, the very land her parents cultivated. She completed studies in horticulture and floral design at Loyalist College, and has taken a course in flower farming and design at Floret Flower Farm, one of North America's leading operations of this kind. Melanie specializes in growing romantic and fragrant, often heirloom, varieties of flowers. Nestled in the beautiful rolling Murray Hills of southeastern Ontario, Dahlia May supplies fresh seasonal cut flowers at her farm stand located on the farm and distinctive bouquets to farmers' markets in the Quinte area. She also offers both rustic and elegant floral design services, inspired by nature and changing with the seasons.
