Auction Driver Position
We are looking for a driver on our team.
This job position is for a route to Mississauga to pick up our flower orders two days per week.
Here are the details:
This job is every Tuesday and Thursday, with the driver leaving our farm at 4am and returning between 10-11am. The shifts are approximately 4am-12pm. The driver will be responsible for driving on the 401 to Mississauga, picking our flower orders up at a warehouse, loading them into our truck, returning them to the farm, and helping to unload them. Additional stops in Toronto to pick up other supplies might be required some days. The shifts are every Tuesday and Thursday from February-late December. We are closed during the month of January.
The right candidate will have good attention to detail, to ensure the product they are picking up matches the paperwork they are given at the auction. This is especially important if you are not familiar with flowers. Problem solving skills are important, as is patience in highway driving.
Job requirements:
Valid G license
Clean drivers abstract
1-2 years experience in courier driving or similar
Ability to lift 50lb comfortably and safely
Compensation:
$18/h to start
